| dc.description | Amongst others, Rudin et al [1] and Esedoglu & Osher [2] have discussed and modelled, in considerable detail, the notion of denoising that arises in images wherein the goal is ‘to remove noise from a corrupted digital image without blurring object boundaries’. Other detailed works in this regard by Osher are [3–5]. Essentially, they propose to denoise images by minimizing the total variation norm of the estimated solution. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | We analyse the symmetry, invariance properties and conservation laws of the partial differential equations (pdes) and minimization problems (variational functionals) that arise in the analyses of some noise removal algorithms. | en_US |
