Train Wind Blasts Energy Harvesting for Sustainable Development

Abstract

This research proposes a sustainable system that generates electricity using wind power by train blasts. Since most of the energy generated in the United Arab Emirates is non-renewable, this initiative primarily focuses on sustainable development. Our proposal will support solar renewable energy systems as well. We aim to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels by utilizing renewable wind energy with solar renewable energy. Train blasts will assist in rotating the propellers of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) installed a few meters away from the train rails. These turbines will spin and store energy to power track-side stations and other nearby locations. Our proposed system can generate up to 1375.6 watts of power to utilize in various road transport applications.
