| dc.description.abstract | This chapter examines how human resources, and technology can work together to address bias in organizational practices. This chapter highlights the significance of utilizing cutting- edge tools to detect lessen and prevent bias in hiring performance reviews and employee relations as workplaces increasingly implement data- driven decision- making processes. It starts off by delineating the different types of bias that can affect HR practices including unconscious systemic and algorithmic bias. In order to shed light on how these technologies can improve objectivity and fairness the chapter then looks at how artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are used to analyse hiring practices and employee assessments. Case studies demonstrate successful implementations of bias- mitigation software and training programs illustrating their effectiveness in promoting diversity and inclusion. © 2025, IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
