dc.description.abstractPredicting accurately deep foundation capacity is one of the most difficult problems in Geotechnical Engineering. In Abu Dhabi, the most commonly used deep foundation underneath our buildings are drilled shafts. This paper is proposing a new framework combining data mining techniques and GIS to predict the drilled shaft capacity to minimize the need for pile load test. Geotechnical and special map data are geo-referenced and processed by the model to produce a GIS or Web based map so that design engineers can utilize this map toward their future designs. One of the important outcomes of this project will be adding a new layer to Abu Dhabi GIS database that contains pile load tests.en_US
