User Centered Human-Computer Interaction and Agile Development: A Systematic Model for Useable Product Case Study

Abstract

Agile development has increasingly changed software development across all software industries by delivering highly productive results. Researchers have focused on different agile development approaches to achieve a high level of software development efficiency by enabling user-centered human-computer interaction (UC-HCI). Agile offers handling of software product development changes in an efficient way through incremental and iterative processes that offer various benefits to software industries. Although there are more significant advantages of using an agile development process, it lacks usability engineering, which plays a vital role in understanding different aspects of each software product. Usability has further deep roots with human-computer interaction as a core part of delivering quality software products. There is a dire need for a model that can combine both user-centered human-computer interaction approach with agile development processes. This paper focuses on proposing a model that will help to overcome the gap between both of the approaches with the assembly of various practices. Further, the proposed model will help to deliver useable products with a more enhanced software life cycle and user satisfaction.
