Combined enterprise and simulation modelling in support of process engineering

Abstract

Industry requires improved means of designing and changing its business processes. This paper describes an enhancement to state-of-the-art enterprise modelling techniques. Use of the approach is illustrated by generating and exercising simulation models that support the design and optimization of example processes.
