Abstract

This is a session about the preparation of Carbon fibers (CFs) at the micron-, sub-micron- and nano-scale from renewable and/or cheap feedstock, their characterization, simulation and modelling and their various applications such as in adsorption and catalysis, in gas separations and storage, in the energy, environmental and the health/biomedical sectors. Researchers working in any aspect of this cycle of CFsâ production, characterization and utilization are welcomed to submit their work and discuss their findings. The session aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest research developments on the CFs science, engineering and applications.
