Abstract

Technology integration is the use of technology resources such as computers, mobile devices, digital cameras, social media platforms and networks, software and Web applications, and the internet, in daily classroom practices and in the management of educational institutions. The chapter discusses models of successful technology integration, teacher and learner education technology skills, integration of software and Web applications in the classroom, and how to achieve a seamless digital transformation across learning and educational activities. Within this context, the discussion focuses on the concept of technology integration, ways to change pedagogy and role of the teacher in a classroom in integrating technology, types and frameworks of technology integration, levels of technology integration, models of digital transformation, and emergency online teaching vs. planning and implementing an e-learning strategy. Through a critical analysis and discussion of relevant academic resources, the chapter provides both an awareness and a practical guide on technology integration and digital transformation in post-COVID-19 hybrid educational settings. © 2024 The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
