Abstract
This chapter investigates the transformative potential of socially and lingually responsive literacy instruction in diverse classrooms. As international classrooms grow in cultural and linguistic diversity, literacy education must be familiarized to meet pupils' varied requirements and backgrounds. By incorporating popular culture, storytelling, and technology, these strategies intend to improve student involvement, foster cultural awareness, and support second language attainment, mainly for students from bilingual backgrounds. Moreover, the chapter addresses the connection between literacy and STEM and the role of social-emotional learning in building understanding and respect among learners. Emphasizing a collaborative approach among instructors, administrators, and policymakers, it calls for detailed, inclusive literacy practices that confirm equitable student prospects.
