Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Big Data Analytics (BDA) on supply chain management, specifically its role in enhancing competitive performance in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It utilizes two conceptual models to explore the relationship between BDA, IT-enabled dynamic capabilities, supply chain intelligence, and their influence on resilience, innovation, and competitive performance. The first model examines how BDA enhances dynamic capabilities, such as sensing, learning, and integrating, contributing to supply chain resilience. Additionally, the moderating effects of a data-driven culture, managerial support, and environmental uncertainty are analyzed. The second model focuses on how BDA fosters supply chain intelligence and innovation, emphasizing the role of flexible orientation in adapting to environmental changes and driving competitive performance. The study employs a purposive sampling method targeting 400 professionals from the UAE's supply chain sector. Empirical analysis supports the hypothesis that BDA significantly enhances IT-enabled dynamic capabilities, strengthening supply chain resilience. Furthermore, managerial support maximizes BDA's benefits, while flexible orientation amplifies the impact of supply chain intelligence on innovation. The findings provide insights for academic researchers and industry practitioners, highlighting the strategic importance of integrating BDA into supply chain management to boost operational efficiency and sustain competitive performance in volatile markets.
